Subject:IPC Inoperative And Blue Gauge Needles Flashing

Models:2007 Cadillac Escalade, Escalade ESV and EXT



The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.

Condition/Concern:

You may notice that the instrument panel cluster ( IPC ) is inoperative and the blue gauge needles are continuously flashing. This may occur after one of the following

  1. Low Voltage Situation
  2. A Battery Disconnect/Reconnect Situation
  3. Programming being interrupted when SPS programming a IPC.

Recommendation/Instructions:

If you experience this concern, please do not replace the IPC. A temporary fix for the concern is to SPS program the IPC. This will restore the IPC to normal operating condition. If one of the symptoms above should occur again, it is possible for the IPC to return to the Inoperative state again. Engineering is working on a permenant fix and this PI will be updated when a permanent fix is available.

Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
