The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.
Some customers may comment of a creaking type noise coming from the lower body area, especially when taking off from a stop. The noise could occur and then stop as soon as the vehicle starts rolling. Occasionally, the noise could be heard when driving over a bump or curb. This concern may be caused by a mis-routed connector for the EBCM being caught between the body and frame rail during assembly of the vehicle. (See Photo below)
If you experience this concern, remove the EBCM connector from between the body and frame rail and attached it properly to its proper support bracket. Please road test the vehicle and verify the vehicle is repaired.
Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
