  1. Disconnect the heated seat cushion connector C1.
  2. Connect a J 39200 digital multimeter (DMM) from the heated seat module connector C1 cavity A (RED/WHT) to ground.

Is the voltage near the specified value?

0 V

Go to Heated Seats System Check

Go to Step 7

Replace the heated seat switch. Refer to Heated Seat Switch Replacement .

Is the heated switch replacement complete?

Go to Step 11

Repair the short to voltage in CKT 950 (RED/WHT). Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Is the repair complete?

Go to Step 11

  1. Disconnect the heated seat back connector C3.
  2. Connect a DMM from the harness side of the heated seat back connector terminal A (RED/WHT) to ground.

Is the voltage near the specified value?

0 V

Go to Heated Seats System Check

Go to Step 9

Repair the short to battery positive voltage in CKT 900 (RED/WHT). Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Is the repair complete?

Replace the heated seat module. Refer to Front Seat Heater Control Module Replacement .
