  1. Use a test lamp in order to backprobe the seat switch connector from cavity F (YEL) (LH) or cavity E (YEL) (RH) to ground.
  2. Move the rear vertical switch to the UP position.

Does the test lamp light?

Go to Step 3

  1. Use a test lamp in order to backprobe the seat switch connector from cavity E (LT BLU) (LH) or cavity F (LT BLU) (RH) to ground.
  2. Move the rear vertical switch to the DOWN position.

Does the test lamp light?

Replace the seat switch. Refer to Power Seat Switch Replacement .

Is the seat switch replacement complete?

  1. Use a test lamp in order to backprobe the seat rear vertical motor connector from cavity B (YEL) to ground.
  2. Move the rear vertical switch to the UP position.

Does the test lamp light?

  1. Use a test lamp in order to backprobe the seat rear vertical motor connector from cavity A (LT BLU) to ground.
  2. Move the rear vertical switch to the DOWN position.

Does the test lamp light?

Replace the seat rear vertical motor. Refer to Front Seat Adjuster Replacement .

Is the seat rear vertical motor replacement complete?

Repair the open in CKT 282 (YEL) (LH) or CKT 288 (YEL) (RH). Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.
