- Position the fender (1)
to the body.
Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners
must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring
replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant
are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or
corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified.
These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage
the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when
installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
- Install the 5 bolts
that retain the fender (1) to the outer rail (3).
- Install the 2 bolts that retain the fender (1) to the fascia
sliding mount bolts.
- Install the 2 bolts that retain the fender
(1) at the rocker panel.
Tighten
Tighten the bolts to 12 N·m (106 lb in).
- Position the hood hinge to the fender and install the 2 bolts.
Tighten
Tighten the bolts to 12 (106 lb in).
- Install the rocker panel. Refer to

in Exterior Trim.
- Install the fender sound insulator. Refer to
Front Fender Insulator Replacement
.
Place the outboard edge of the insulator rearward so that the insulator
contacts the upper fender reinforcement.
- Install the wheelhouse panel. Refer to
Wheelhouse Panel Replacement
.
- Install the wheelhouse extension. Refer to
Front Bumper Fascia Extension Replacement
.
- Install the wheel opening molding.
- Install the headlamp housing. Refer to
Headlamp Replacement
in Lighting Systems.
- Install the engine compartment fuse and relay center cover.
- Install the upper filler panel. Refer to
Filler Panel Replacement - Upper
