Did you perform the automatic day-night mirror system check?

  1. Disconnect the inside rear view mirror connector.
  2. Disconnect the LH outside rear view mirror connector C3.
  3. Measure the resistance from the inside rear view mirror connector terminal 4 to the LH outside mirror connector C3 terminal A (BRN).

Is the measured resistance greater than the specified value range?

0 - 2 ohms

Go to Step 6

Go to Step 3

Measure the resistance from the inside rear view mirror connector terminal 5 to the LH outside rear view mirror connector C3 terminal B (BRN/BLK).

Is the measured resistance greater than the specified value range?

0 - 2 ohms

Go to Step 7

Go to Step 4

With terminal C3 of the inside rearview mirror still disconneted.

Measure the resistance from the inside rear view mirror connector terminal 4 to terminal 5.

Is the measured resistance greater than the specified value?

5 ohms

Go to Step 5

Replace the LH outside rearview mirror. Refer to Mirror Face Replacement - Outside Electrochromatic in Doors.

Is the replacement complete?

Repair the open in CKT 1690 (GRY or GRY/BLK). Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Is the circuit repair complete?

Repair the open in CKT 1691 (PNK or PNK/BLK). Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Repair the short from CKT 1690 (GRY or GRY/BLK) to CKT 1691 (PNK or PNK/BLK). Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.
