Did you perform the IC Diagnostic System Check?

  1. Disconnect the coolant level switch.
  2. Connect a fused jumper from the harness terminal A to terminal B.
  3. Turn the ignition switch to the RUN position.

Is the CHECK COOLANT LEVEL message displayed on the DIC?

Go to Step 7

  1. Disconnect the IPC connector C2.
  2. Connect a J 39200 from the IPC connector C2 terminal A10 battery positive voltage.

Is the Voltage within the specified range ?

10-15 V

Go to Step 8

Go to Step 4

Connect a DMM fused jumper from harness terminal A to ground.

Is the voltage within the specified range ?

10-15 V

Go to Step 7

Repair the open in CKT 1478. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Repair the open in CKT 650. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Replace the coolant level switch. Refer to Coolant Level Switch Replacement in Engine Cooling.
