Did you perform the Cigar Lighter/Auxiliary Outlets System Check?

Measure the voltage from the cigar lighter terminal A and ground. Refer to Measuring Voltage .

Is the voltage within the specified range?

10-15 V

Go to Step 7

Check the CIG LTR 1 fuse in the underhood fuse block.

Is the fuse OK?

Go to Step 4

Check circuit 440 (ORN) from the underhood fuse block to the cigar lighter terminal A for an open wire or poor connection.

Is there an open wire or poor connection in the circuit?

--

Go to Step 6

Go to Step 7

Repair the short to ground in circuit 440 (ORN). Refer to Wiring Repairs .

Is the repair complete?

--

Repair the open or poor connection in circuit 440 (ORN). Refer to Wiring Repairs .

Is the repair complete?

--

Go to Cigar Lighter/Auxiliary Outlets System Check

Measure the voltage from the cigar lighter terminal A to terminal B. Refer to Measuring Voltage .

Is the voltage within the specified range?

10-15 V

Replace the cigar lighter.

Is the repair complete?

Repair the open or poor connection in the ground circuit:

    • CKT 150 (w/ B9Q or w/o D55)
    • CKT 850 (w/ D55 or V4U)

Refer to Wiring Repairs .
