Did you perform the Lighting Systems Diagnostic System Check?

  1. Turn ON the ignition, with the engine OFF.
  2. Place the turn signal lever in the OFF position

Do the turn signal lamps flash ON and OFF?

  1. Place the turn signal lever in the position that the turn signal lamps remain on.
  2. Disconnect the turn signal flasher.

Do the turn signal lamps remain illuminated?

  1. Disconnect the Turn/Hazard Switch.
  2. Connect a test lamp between the turn signal flasher control circuit and a good ground.

Does the test lamp illuminate?

Repair the short to voltage in the appropriate turn signal lamp supply voltage circuit. Refer to Circuit Testing and Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Repair the short to voltage in the turn signal flasher control circuit. Refer to Circuit Testing and Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Replace the turn signal flasher. Refer to Turn Signal Flasher Replacement in Lighting Systems.

Replace the Turn/Hazard Switch. Refer to Multifunction, Turn Signal, and Hazard Switch Replacement - On Vehicle in Steering Wheel and Column-Tilt.
