  1. Disconnect the rear compartment lid release switch connector.
  2. Connect a fused jumper between the rear compartment lid release switch connector terminal A (ORN/BLK) and ground.

Does the rear compartment lamp light?

Inspect CKT 1150 (BLK) for an open. Refer to Testing for Continuity in Wiring Systems.

Is CKT 1150 OK?

Measure the voltage to ground from the rear compartment lamp connector terminal A (ORN).

Is battery voltage measured?

Inspect CKT 737 (ORN/BLK) for an open. Refer to Testing for Continuity in Wiring Systems.

Is CKT 737 OK?

Repair the open in CKT 640 (ORN) between S303 and the rear compartment lamp. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Replace the rear compartment lid release switch. Refer to Rear Compartment Lid Latch Switch Replacement in Lighting Systems.

Replace the rear compartment lamp. Refer to Rear Compartment Courtesy Lamp Replacement in Lighting Systems.
