Did you perform Diagnostic System Check - Cellular Telephone ?

  1. Dock the cellular telephone handset.
  2. Turn ON the ignition.
  3. Turn on the radio and set the radio volume.
  4. Attempt to place a call in hands-free mode.
  5. Attempt to place a call using the docked handset.

Does the system operate normally?

  1. Turn the audio system on.
  2. Select am/fm radio, tape or CD.
  3. Dock the cellular telephone handset.
  4. Press the PHONE button on the LH side steering wheel controls.

Does a beep sound through the audio system speakers?

Test the mono audio (+) circuit for a short to battery positive voltage. Refer to Circuit Testing and Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Test the mono audio (+) circuit for an open or short to ground. Refer to Circuit Testing and Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Test the mono audio (-) circuit for a short to battery positive voltage. Refer to Circuit Testing and Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Inspect the cellular telephone module connector for poor connections. Refer to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections and Connector Repairs in Wiring Systems.
