Tools Required

J 39400 Electronic Halogen Leak Detector

    Object Number: 304961 Size: SH

Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  1. Install the condenser (3) to the vehicle.
  2. Tighten
Tighten the condenser mounting bolts to 12 N·m (9 lb ft).

  3. Install the radiator core upper support.

  4. Object Number: 304959 Size: SH
  5. Install the refrigerant lines to the condenser (3).
  6. Tighten
Tighten the condenser line fittings to 24 N·m (18 lb ft).

  7. Install the cooling fans. Refer to Engine Cooling Fan Replacement in Engine Cooling.
  8. Install the upper transmission cooler line to the radiator.
  9. Install the hood release cable. Refer to Hood Primary Latch Release Cable Replacement in Body front End.
