Removal Procedure
- Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to
Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle
in General Information.
- Remove the tire and wheel assemblies. Refer to
Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation
in Tires
and Wheels.
- Remove both link lower
bolts.
- Remove both link upper nuts.
- Remove the stabilizer brackets.
- Remove the insulators from the stabilizer shaft.
- Lower the exhaust system at the rear. Support the exhaust system.
- Remove the stabilizer shaft from the vehicle.
Installation Procedure
- Install the stabilizer
shaft into the vehicle.
- Raise the exhaust system back into place.
- Install the insulators to the stabilizer shaft.
- Install the stabilizer brackets.
- Install the link upper nut to both sides.
Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners
must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring
replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant
are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or
corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified.
These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage
the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when
installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
- Install the link lower bolt to both sides.
Tighten
• | Tighten the upper link nut to 52 N·m (38 lb ft). |
• | Tighten the lower link bolt to 60 N·m (44 lb ft). |
• | Tighten the stabilizer bracket bolt to 60 N·m (44 lb ft). |
- Install the tire and wheel assemblies. Refer to
Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation
in Tires
and Wheels.
- Lower the vehicle.
