Rear License Plate Pocket Replacement DeVille

Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the license plate.

  2. Object Number: 367599  Size: SH
  3. Remove the 4 screws (5) retaining the pocket (2) from the outboard surface of the rear compartment lid.
  4. Remove the 2 screws (6) retaining the pocket (2) from the inboard surface of the rear compartment lid.
  5. Remove the license plate pocket (2).
  6. Disconnect the 3 lamp connectors.
  7. Remove the 4 snap-in harness fasteners.

Installation Procedure

  1. Connect the lamp connectors.

  2. Object Number: 367599  Size: SH
  3. Install the 4 snap-in harness fasteners.
  4. Install the license lamp pocket (2).
  5. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  6. Install the inboard screws (6).
  7. Tighten
    Tighten the screws to 2 N·m (18 lb in).

  8. Install the outboard screws (5).
  9. Tighten
    Tighten the screws to 2 N·m (18 lb in).

  10. Install the license plate.

Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 367600  Size: SH
  1. Remove the screws (3).
  2. Disconnect the bulb sockets for the reverse lamps and the license lamps.
  3. Remove the license plate pocket (4).

Installation Procedure

  1. Connect the bulb sockets to the reverse lamps and the license lamps.

  2. Object Number: 367600  Size: SH
  3. Position the pocket (4).
  4. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure.   5. Install the 4 screws (3).

Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the rear compartment lid trim cover.

  2. Object Number: 367600  Size: SH
  3. Remove the 2 nuts (1).
  4. Remove the bolts (2).
  5. Remove the license pocket (4).

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 367600  Size: SH
  1. Position the license pocket (4) to the vehicle.
  2. Install the bolts (2).
  3. Install the 2 nuts (1) in order to secure the pocket bolts (2).
  4. Install the rear compartment lid trim cover.
