Disconnect the heated seat switch connector.

Does the seat cool down?

Disconnect the heated seat relay module connector.

Does the seat cool down?

Go to Step 10

Does only the back seat heat?

Go to Step 8

Go to Step 5

1. Disconnect the heated seat cushion connector C1.
2. Connect a J 39200 digital multimeter (DMM) from the heated seat relay module connector C1 cavity A (RED/WHT) to ground.

Is the voltage near the specified value?

0 V

Go to Heated Seats System Check

Go to Step 7

Replace the heated seat switch. Refer to Lumbar/Heated Seat Switch Replacement - Power .

Is the heated switch replacement complete?

Go to Step 11

Repair the short to voltage in CKT 950 (RED/WHT). Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Is the repair complete?

Go to Step 11

--

1. Disconnect the heated seat back connector C2 (DeVille) or connector C3 (Eldorado).
2. Connect a DMM from the harness side of the heated seat back connector terminal A (BRN) to ground.

Is the resistance near the specified value?

0 V

Go to Heated Seats System Check

Go to Step 9

Repair the short to battery positive voltage (B+) in CKT 900 (BRN). Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Is the repair complete?

Go to Step 11

Replace the heated seat relay module. Refer to Heater Module Replacement .

Is the heated seat relay module replacement complete?

Go to Step 11

Perform the Heated Seat System Check. Refer to Heated Seats System Check

Does the heated seat system operate properly?
