Door Lock and Side Window and Outside Rearview Mirror Remote Control Switch Replacement Eldorado

1. Apply protective tape to the front of the switch and door panel in order to protect the surfaces.



2. Use a wide flat-bladed tool in order to pry up on the rear edge of the trim panel.
3. Insert the blade 19 mm (0.75 in) into the door trim in order to disengage the retention clip.
4. Press the blade firmly toward the switch plate (1,3) in order to disengage the clip.

Notice: The retainer clip must be fully disengaged before the switch plate is removed. Otherwise, damage to the switch plate could result.

5. Pull the flat-bladed tool upward while pressing firmly toward the plate.
6. Pull the plate from the trim panel.
7. Disconnect the electrical connectors (2).
8. Remove the switch plate (1,3).
9. Use a wide flat-bladed tool in order to release the retaining tabs and remove the switch from the switch plate.
10. Remove protective tape.

1. Install the switch into the switch plate, by evenly setting the switch into the switch plate in order to the snap switch into the retainers.



2. Connect the electrical connectors (2).
3. Install the switch plate (1,3) by evenly setting the plate into the trim panel.
4. Press the plate into position in order to engage the clips on both ends.
