Use the following procedure in order to replace a weld
stud if a weld stud becomes damaged during a repair:
- Drill a hole in the same location as the damaged weld stud.
- Drive a screw into the drilled hole.
- Use the screw in order to retain the clips and the molding in
the same manner as the weld studs.
- If the surface becomes marred, repair and/or paint the surface
in order to provide a smooth surface. Refer to
Basecoat/Clearcoat Paint Systems
in Paint/Coatings.
