The IPC monitors the steering wheel controls HVAC (cellular phone) keys (switches) input at the IPC connector C2 terminal B11. The IPC interprets the switch commands and issues the appropriate class 2 message.
The IPC determines that one or more of the following switches is active for more than 12.5 seconds:

• | TEMP UP (SEND) |
• | TEMP DOWN (END) |
• | Binding |
• | Sticking |
• | Broken |

2.2. | Press each switch and view the steering wheel controls data list parameter. |
2.3. | Use the table below for the correct value. |
3.1. | Disconnect C202. |
3.2. | Connect a DMM to the steering column harness terminals A1 and A4. |
3.3. | Press each key and measure the resistance. |
