Cellular Antenna

Removal Procedure

Use a razor blade or putty knife in order to cut the double back tape material while lifting up on the external foot.

Installation Procedure

  1. Clean the following components with alcohol.
  2. Thoroughly dry the components using a lint free cloth:

    • The exterior glass mounting area
    • The external foot
  3. Apply new double back tape.
  4. Peel the backing paper from the exterior mounting.
  5. Mount the foot in the center of window approximately 1 inch below the dark edge of the shading on the window.
  6. Firmly press on all 4 corners in order to ensure proper bonding between the adhesive and the window.

Interior Coupling Box

Removal Procedure

Use a razor blade or putty knife in order to cut the double back tape material while lifting up on the internal coupling box.

Installation Procedure

  1. Clean the following components at the opposite mounting area of the external antenna position:
  2. • The interior coupling box
    • The interior glass
    • Use alcohol in order to clean the components. Dry the components using a lint free cloth.
  3. Apply a new double back tape.
  4. Peel the back paper from the interior coupling box.
  5. Important: The interior coupling box has right front connections. The connections point upward toward the headliner.

  6. Align the interior coupling box with the exterior mount.
  7. Press the interior coupling box onto the back window using even, firm pressure at all 4  corners.

Coaxial Cable

Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the right quarter panel. Refer to Rear Quarter Upper Trim Panel Replacement in Interior Trim.
  2. Pull the cable from behind the headliner.
  3. Remove the cable from the module.
  4. Pull the cable through the hole in the rear shelf.

Installation Procedure

  1. Route the coaxial cable from the rear compartment through the hole in the passenger side of the rear shelf.
  2. Pull the cable into the interior of the vehicle.
  3. Screw the cable onto the right front connection on the interior coupling box.
  4. Slide the coaxial cable under the headliner in order to conceal the cable.
  5. Install the right quarter panel. Refer to Rear Quarter Upper Trim Panel Replacement in Interior Trim.
  6. Plug the cable into the module.
