Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 585863  Size: SH
  1. Remove the air filter housing.
  2. Reposition the powertrain control module.
  3. Remove the upper mounting screw.

  4. Object Number: 585854  Size: SH
  5. Remove the left wheelhouse panel extension. Refer to Wheelhouse Panel Replacement .
  6. Disconnect the two electrical connectors.
  7. Remove the washer hose.
  8. Remove two nuts and the washer solvent container.

  9. Object Number: 585864  Size: SH
  10. Remove the washer pump from the washer solvent container.
  11. Remove the solvent level sensor from the washer solvent container.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 585864  Size: SH
  1. Install the solvent level sensor onto the washer solvent container.
  2. Install the washer pump onto the washer solvent container.

  3. Object Number: 585854  Size: SH

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  4. Install the washer solvent container with two nuts.
  5. Tighten
    Tighten the two nuts to 5 N·m (44 lb in).

  6. Connect the electrical connectors and the washer hose.
  7. Install the left wheelhouse panel extension. Refer to Wheelhouse Panel Replacement .

  8. Object Number: 585863  Size: SH
  9. Install the upper mounting screw.
  10. Tighten
    Tighten the screw to 5 N·m (44 lb in).

  11. Reposition the powertrain control module.
  12. Install the air filter housing.
