  1. Disconnect the hazard flasher connector.
  2. Measure the voltage to ground at the hazard flasher connector terminal A (ORN).

Is battery voltage measured?

Connect a fused jumper between the hazard flasher connector terminal A (ORN) and terminal B (BRN).

Do the hazard lamps light but do not flash?

Inspect CKT 27 (BRN) for an open or short to ground. Refer to Testing for Continuity or Testing for Short to Ground in Wiring Systems.

Is CKT 27 OK?

Replace the hazard flasher.

Is the hazard flasher replacement complete?

Replace the turn/hazard switch. Refer to Turn Signal and Multifunction Switch Assembly - Disassemble - Off Vehicle in Steering Wheel and Column - Tilt

Is the turn/hazard switch replacement complete?

Repair the open in CKT 740 (ORN). Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.
