Makes 🢒 Cadillac 🢒 1999 🢒 Eldorado 🢒 Suspension 🢒 Automatic Level Control 🢒 Air Compressor Leak Test

Tools Required

J 22124-B J 22124-B Pressure Gage (0-300 psi)

  1. Disconnect the air tube from the air dryer.
  2. Attach the J 22124-B J 22124-B adapter tube to the air dryer.
  3. Attach the J 22124-B J 22124-B gage to the J 22124-B J 22124-B adapter tube with the toggle valve (5) on the opposite side from the air compressor. Close the toggle valve.
  4. Apply air pressure at the schrader valve (4). Pressurize until the J 22124-B J 22124-B reads 690 kPa (100 psi).
  5. Check the following areas using soap bubbles:
    6. • Solenoid valve (1) -- Replace the air compressor head if leaking.
    • Air dryer to compressor head O-ring (2) -- Replace the air dryer if leaking.
    • Air dryer cover (3) -- Replace the air dryer if leaking.
    • Air compressor head gasket (6) -- Replace the air compressor head if leaking.
    • Air compressor head cover gasket (7) -- Tighten the cover bolts to 5.6 N·m (50 lb. in.) if the head cover gasket is leaking. If the leak persists, replace the air compressor head.
