The high pressure, compact spare has a narrow 102 mm (4 in) wide rim. Use spare tires only on the vehicle for which the spare was made. Also, do not use the compact spare wheel with standard tires, wheel covers or trim rings. Using the spare tire improperly may damage the tire, the wheel, or other parts of the vehicle.
Caution: To avoid serious personal injury, do not stand over tire when inflating. Bead may break when bead snaps over safety hump. Do not exceed 275 kPa (40 psi) pressure when inflating any tire if beads are not seated. If 275 kPa (40 psi) pressure will not seat beads, deflate, relubricate the beads and reinflate. Overinflation may cause the bead to break and cause personal injury.
Mount and dismount the spare tire using proper tire changing equipment and procedures. As with other tires, seat the beads on the spare tire at 275 kPa (40 psi). Inflate and maintain the tire at 415 kPa (60 psi).
