  1. Remove the intake manifold sight shield retaining nuts (1).
  2. Remove the intake manifold sight shield.

  3. Object Number: 71512  Size: SH
  4. Disconnect the spark plug wires from the left bank spark plugs and the molded retainers in the intake manifold. Lay the wires aside.

  6. Disconnect the PCV dirty air tube (1) from the PCV valve (2) and the intake manifold.

  8. Disconnect the PCV fresh air feed tube (1) from the camshaft cover and intake manifold.

  10. Remove the PCV valve from the camshaft cover.

  12. Disconnect the EGR and crankcase ventilation pipe at the throttle body spacer.

  14. Disconnect the fuel rail ground wire at the rear cylinder head.
  15. Disconnect the fuel rail bracket retaining nut at the inner EGR mounting stud.

  17. Remove the purge solenoid harness by removing the retaining bolt and disconnecting from the intake manifold.

  18. Object Number: 205490  Size: SH
  19. Disconnect the throttle body heater hose (3) from the water crossover (4).

  20. Object Number: 206312  Size: SH
  21. Disconnect the throttle body heater outlet hose (1) from the throttle body (3) and remove the coolant overflow pipe (5) from the intake manifold studs (4).

  22. Object Number: 331856  Size: SH
  23. Loosen and remove the intake manifold studs (1), spacers (2) and bolts (3).
  24. Remove the intake manifold assembly.
  25. Important: The intake manifold carrier gaskets are attached to the intake manifold through a snap-lock feature. When you remove the intake manifold, the carrier gaskets will remain attached to the manifold. It is not necessary to replace the gaskets unless there is damage to the seals.
