The scan tool data definitions contain a brief description of all related parameters
available on the scan tool relating to seat belts components.
Memory Seat Module (MSM) Definitions
Battery Voltage: The scan tool displays 0-16 volts.
The level of battery voltage at the module.
Ignition 3: The scan tool displays 0-16 volts.
The voltage measured during seat operation.
Belt Tower Switch: The scan tool displays Idle/Up/Down. When
the seat belt tower switch is activated, the scan tool will momentarily display Up
or Down.
Belt Tower Output: The scan tool displays Idle/Up/Down. When
the seat belt tower switch is activated, the scan tool will momentarily display Idle,

SIR Definitions
8-Digit GM Part Number: The scan tool displays an 8-digit part
number. This number is the GM part number that is stored within the SDM memory.
Driver Seat Belt A/D: The scan tool displays 0 or 12 volts.
If driver seat belt is buckled = 12 volts, unbuckled = 0 volts.
Ignition Voltage: The scan tool displays 0-20 volts.
The Ignition represents the system voltage measured by the SDM at its ignition feed.
