Roof Console Replacement DeVille

1. Release the tabs (1) and remove the roof console trim plate (2).
2. Release the tabs that retain the sunroof switch/roof support.
3. Pull the overhead roof console (3) rearward.



4. Remove the map lamp switch connectors (2) from the roof console (5).
5. Disconnect the electrical connectors from the sunroof switch (1) and universal garage door opener (4) (if equipped).



6. Release the tabs and remove the map lamp lenses (2).
7. Remove the map lamp bulbs.
8. Remove the wire leads with the bulb retainer from the map lamps.
9. Use a small flat-bladed tool in order to release the tabs. Remove the stabilizer.
10. Remove the roof console (3).

1. Install the wire leads with the bulb retainer to the map lamps.
2. Install the map lamp bulbs.
3. Install the map lamp lenses (2).



4. Connect the electrical connector to the sunroof switch (1) and the universal garage door opener (4) (if equipped).
5. Connect the map lamp switch connectors to the console.
6. Install the sunroof switch/roof support to the console. Secure the support with the tabs.
7. Install the roof console with the stabilizer.

Use your finger in order to reach through the hole in the console in order to hold the stabilizer in place.

Push up and snap the stabilizer into the console.




8. Install the roof console (3).
9. Install the roof console trim plate (2).
10. Make sure the locking tabs are secure to the roof console (3).

Roof Console Replacement Eldorado

1. With a flat-bladed tool, gently pry open the roof console trim plate (1).
2. Remove the fastener (2) at the center of the roof console.
3. Slide the roof console (3) rearward and downward from the locking tabs (4).



4. Disconnect the electrical connector for the garage door opener (2) and sunroof switch (1) (if equipped).
5. Remove the overhead console.

1. Connect the electrical connectors.
2. Install the overhead console (3) into the headliner opening.
3. Make sure the locking tabs (4) are properly positioned.
4. Install the fastener (2).
5. Install the roof console trim plate (1) to the roof console (3).
6. Gently push upward to lock the trim plate into place.
