  1. Connect a scan tool.
  2. Select IPC on the scan tool.

Is DTC C1210 set current?

  1. Disconnect the brake fluid level switch.
  2. Connect a DMM between the brake fluid level switch harness connector terminal A and terminal B.
  3. Turn the ignition switch to the RUN position.

Is the voltage within the specified range?

10-15 V

  1. Connect a DMM between the brake fluid level harness connector terminal B and ground.
  2. Turn the ignition switch to the RUN position.

Is the voltage within the specified range?

10-15 V

Repair an open in CKT 849 (PNK). Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems. Test for a short to B+.

Replace the brake fluid level switch. Refer to Brake Fluid Level Indicator Switch Replacement .

Repair an open in CKT 51 (BLK/WHT) and inspect for a short to B+.

Test the instrument panel cluster BRAKE FLUID indicator and the circuit for an open.
