The modular headliner is a one-piece composite substrate that is covered with a foam cloth facing. You cannot service the cloth facing separately. Service the headliner as a complete assembly.

The wiring harness for the roof lighting and the sunroof, if equipped, attaches to the rear of the headliner. The wiring harness can be serviced separately.

A locator is attached to the rear of the headliner. The locator holds the headlining in place.

Auxiliary sunshades and interior attachments provide additional support in the front. If the vehicle is equipped with a sunroof, there are four patches of dual lock material at the front and sides of the sunroof opening.

If you damage the locator at the rear during removal, obtain a locator repair kit through GM SPO. Repair the locator before you reinstall the locator.
