Did you perform the Power Door Lock System Check?

  1. Connect a scan tool to the data link connector (DLC).
  2. Select the body control module (PZM) on the scan tool.
  3. Operate the inoperative door lock cylinder switch.

Does the body control module (PZM) receive the door lock cylinder input?

Go to Step 3

Go to Step 4

Replace the (PZM). Refer to Body Control Module Replacement in Body Control Systems.

Did you complete the repair?

Go to Power Door Locks System Check

Test the inoperative door lock cylinder switch.

Did you find a condition?

--

Go to Step 5

Go to Step 6

Replace the door lock cylinder switch. Refer to Door Lock Cylinder Replacement .

Did you complete the repair?

Test one of the following circuits for an open or short to ground:

    • CKT 262 (LT GRN) for the left door lock cylinder switch
    • CKT 265 (LT GRN) for the right door lock cylinder switch

Is the circuit OK?

Go to Step 8

Go to Step 7

Repair the open or the short to ground in one of the following circuits:

    • CKT 262 (LT GRN) for the left door lock cylinder switch
    • CKT 265 (LT GRN) for the right door lock cylinder switch

Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Repair the open in one of the following circuits:

    • CKT 51 (BLK/WHT) for the left door lock cylinder switch
    • CKT 151 (BLK/WHT) for the right door lock cylinder switch
