  1. Connect a Scan Tool to the data link connector (DLC).
  2. Inspect the IPC park lamp switch input.

Does the park lamp switch operate properly?

Disconnect the instrument cluster (IPC) connector C3.

Do the park lamps turn off?

Disconnect the body control module (PZM) connector C2.

Do the park lamps turn off?

Remove the park lamps relay from the rear compartment relay center 2.

Do the park lamps turn off?

Repair the short to voltage in CKT 256 (PPL). Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Replace the park lamps relay.

  1. Place the ignition switch in the OFF position.
  2. Disconnect the headlamp switch connector C1.

Do the park lamps turn off?

Inspect CKT 74 (LT BLU) for a short to ground. Refer to Testing for Short to Ground in Wiring Systems.

Is CKT 74 OK?
