  1. Turn the ignition switch to the RUN position.
  2. Disconnect the turn signal flasher connector.
  3. Measure the voltage to ground at the turn signal flasher connector terminal 5 (BRN).

Is battery voltage measured?

Measure the voltage between the turn signal flasher connector terminal 5 (BRN) and terminal 2 (BLK).

Is battery voltage measured?

  1. Connect a fused jumper between the turn signal flasher connector terminal 5 (BRN) and terminal 4 (PPL).
  2. Operate the left and the right turn signal switch.

Do the left and the right turn lamps light (but not flash) when each respective turn signal switch operation is performed?

Replace the turn signal flasher.

Repair the open in CKT 141 (BRN). Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Repair the open in CKT 150 (BLK) between the turn signal flasher and S219. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Inspect CKT 16 (PPL) for an open or short to ground. Refer to Testing for Continuity or to Testing for Short to Ground in Wiring Systems.

Is CKT 16 OK?

Replace the turn/hazard switch. Refer to Turn Signal and Multifunction Switch Assembly - Disassemble - Off Vehicle in Steering Wheel and Column - Tilt.
