1. Connect a Scan Tool to the data link connector (DLC).
2. Inspect the IPC input: rear fog lamps switch.

Does the rear fog lamps switch operate properly?

1. Turn the headlamp switch to the ON position.
2. Turn the ignition switch to the RUN position.
3. Remove the rear fog lamp relay from the rear compartment relay center 1.
4. Measure the voltage to ground at the rear fog lamp relay connector terminal A3 (PNK) and terminal A1 (BRN).

Is battery voltage measured at both of the terminals?

1. Turn the rear fog lamp switch to the ON position.
2. Measure the voltage between the rear fog lamp relay connector terminal A3 (PNK) and terminal B1 (YEL).

Is battery voltage measured?

Connect a fused jumper between the rear fog lamp relay connector terminal A1 (BRN) and terminal B3 (RED).

Do the rear fog lamps turn on?

Replace the rear fog lamp relay.

Is the repair complete?

1. Disconnect the headlamp switch connector C1.
2. Connect a fused jumper between the headlamp switch connector C1 terminal J (LT BLU) and ground.

Is the IPC input: rear fog lamps switch on?

Inspect CKT 151 (BLK/WHT) for an open. Refer to Testing for Continuity in Wiring Systems.

Is CKT 151 OK?

Is CKT 1977 OK?

Repair the open in CKT 122 (RED) between the rear compartment relay center 1 and S418. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Is the repair complete?

Replace the headlamp switch. Refer to Headlamp Switch Replacement .

Replace the body control module (PZM). Refer to Body Control Module Replacement in Body Control System.
