Removal Procedure
- Remove the following fuses from the rear compartment fuse panel:
- Remove the fuse A3-IGN 1 from the engine compartment fuse
panel.
- Remove the upper trim pad. Refer to one of the following procedures

- Disconnect the 3 electrical connectors on top of the instrument
cluster.
- Remove the 4 fasteners (1)
retaining the instrument cluster to the instrument panel.
- Remove the instrument cluster.
Installation Procedure
- Position the cluster to
the instrument panel.
Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners
must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring
replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant
are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or
corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified.
These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage
the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when
installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
- Install the 4 fasteners (1)
in order to retain the cluster to the instrument panel.
Tighten
Tighten the fasteners to 2 N·m (18 lb in).
- Connect the 3 electrical connectors to the top of the instrument
cluster.
- Install the upper trim pad. Refer to one of the following procedures

- Install the fuses to the fuse panel.
- Re-program the (IPC). Refer to
Programming Replacement Keys, Ignition Cylinder, or Powertrain Control Module
in Theft Deterrnet.
