Was the entire Brake Warning System Check performed?

Go to Brake Warning System Check

1. Connect scan tool.
2. Select IPC.
3. Check for DTC C1210.

Is DTC C1210 set current?

Go to step 3

Go to step 8

1. Disconnect the brake fluid level switch.
2. Connect a test lamp between the brake fluid level harness connector terminals A and B.
3. Turn the ignition switch to RUN.

Did the test lamp lit?

Go to step 6

Go to step 4

1. Connect the test lamp between the brake fluid level harness connector terminal B and ground.
2. Ignition switch in RUN.

Is the test lamp lit?

Go to step 7

Go to step 5

Repair open in circuit 849 (PNK). If open, check for a short to positive voltage.

Is the repair complete?

Go to Brake Warning System Check

--

Replace brake fluid level switch.

Is repair complete?

--

Go to Brake Warning System Check

--

Repair open in circuit 51 (BLK/WHT). If open, check for a short to positive voltage.

Is the repair complete?

--

Go to Brake Warning System Check

--

Check instrument cluster BRAKE FLUID indicator and circuit for an open.

Is repair complete?
