Was the entire Brake Warning System Check performed?

  1. Park brake not applied
  2. Ignition switch in RUN.

Is the PARK indictor illuminated?

 

Go to Brake Warning Indicator Always On

Go to step 3

  1. Disconnect the brake fluid level switch.
  2. Connect the DMM between the brake fluid level switch harness connector terminal B and ground.

Is the resistance within the specified range?

Less than 5 ohms

Go to step 4

Go to step 6

  1. Disconnect the IPC connectors.
  2. Connect a DMM between the IPC connector C2 terminal A11 and ground.

Is the resistance within the specified range?

Less than 5 ohms

Go to step 5

Go to step 7

Repair a short to ground in circuit 849 (PNK).

Is the repair complete?

Go to Brake Warning System Check

Replace the brake fluid level switch.

Is the repair complete?

--

Go to Brake Warning System Check

Perform the IPC Diagnostic System Check, if no concerns are found, replace the IPC.
