1. Start engine.
2. Connect a scan tool to the data link connector and monitor the system voltage.

Is the voltage greater than the specified value?

10.6 Volts

Go to Step 2

1. Turn key to the LOCK position.
2. Disconnect the IPC connector C1.
3. Turn the ignition switch to the RUN position.

Does the volt indicator or check gauges message with engine telltale still on.
