Removal Procedure
  1. Remove the right headlamp cover.

    2. Object Number: 48462 Size: SH

    Caution: Unless directed otherwise, the ignition and start switch must be in the OFF or LOCK position, and all electrical loads must be OFF before servicing any electrical component. Disconnect the negative battery cable to prevent an electrical spark should a tool or equipment come in contact with an exposed electrical terminal. Failure to follow these precautions may result in personal injury and/or damage to the vehicle or its components.

  2. Disconnect the negative battery cable.

    3. Disconnect the positive battery cable.

  3. Remove the battery retainer.
  4. Remove the battery from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure
  1. Install the battery into the vehicle.

    2. Object Number: 42697 Size: SH
  2. Install the battery retainer.

    3. Tighten
    Tighten the battery retainer bolt to 18 N·m (13 lb ft)


    Object Number: 48462 Size: SH
  3. Connect the positive battery cable.

    4. Tighten
    Tighten the positive battery cable to 15 N·m (11 lb ft)

  4. Connect the negative battery cable.

    5. Tighten
    Tighten the negative battery cable to 15N·m (11 lb ft)

  5. Install the right headlamp cover.
