Check Engine Light On P2444 - keywords MIL SES

The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.

A customer may comment the check engine light is on. DTC P2444 is stored in the engine control module. The cause may be the engine harness is chafing and shorting on the power steering pressure hose bracket (1).

Inspect the engine wiring harness. Repair the wiring as necessary using SI Diagnostic Information and Procedures.

Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
