ABS Traction Control Stabilitrak Warning Telltales On (C0035 Or C0040) - keywords stability vses wss

The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.

A customer may comment the ABS and Traction Control indicators illuminate; the driver information center (DIC) may display Service Stabilitrak. DTC C0035 Left Front Wheel Speed Sensor Circuit or C0040 Right Front Wheel Speed Sensor Circuit may be stored.

The cause may be damage to the wheel speed sensor wire harness that results from chafing on the driver side (1) or passenger side (2) of the transmission case.

Inspect the wheel speed sensor wire harnesses. Repair the wiring as needed using procedures found in Diagnostic Information and Procedures- Wiring Repairs.

Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
