The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.
A customer may comment the Daytime Running Lights (DRL) are not illuminated during daylight conditions when the transmission is in Park. The cause is a change in the Body Control Module (BCM) programming. A change went into production for 2009 vehicles beginning with vehicles built in mid August 2008 that disables the DRL when the transmission is Park. The change will take effect on 2007 and 2008 model year vehicles when the BCM is programmed with the most current calibration.

Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
