Rattle From Roof Passenger B-Pillar - keywords antenna body coax noise passenger rattle right roof sunroof

Subject:Rattle from Roof Passenger B-Pillar

Models:2007 Cadillac DTS equipped with a Sunroof (CF5)

The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.

Condition/Concern:

Some customers may comment there is a rattle in the roof area behind the sunroof on passenger side near the B-Pillar.

Recommendation/Instructions:

Inspect and secure the antenna coax cable where it is routed above the B-Pillar on the passenger side. The cable may rattle on the roof and roof bow where it passes below the sunroof support bow. The rattle occurs at the point where the cable has to dive out of its home groove due to the sunroof support bow (1). Insulate the cable with foam and tuck the wire between the roof rail and side rail to eliminate the concern.
