1. 1982 CIMARRON DRIVETRAIN AND PROM CALIBRATION
1982 Cimarrons experienced a number of calibration changes and supersessions during the model year. The following chart provides the latest information on 1982 Cimarron drivetrain configuration and PROM service packages.
2. 1982 CIMARRON 1.8L DRIVEABILITY AND COLD STARTING - SUMMARY
Owners of 1982 Cimarrons equipped with 1.8L engines may have experienced cold starting difficulties in certain geographical areas. The following list highlights and summarizes the Serviceman Bulletins concerned with Cimarron driveability and cold weather conditions published to this date.

1982 Cimarron Cold Starting Difficulties Update Bulletin #T-82-49, Group 6C
The B.C. No. range of vehicles involved and the service policies and procedures for battery and spark plug replacement and various carburetor adjustments to prevent spark plug fouling and cold starting difficulties are described in the above bulletins.
B. Cimarron Carburetor Specifications Revised - 1982 Bulletin #I-82-26, Group 6C
1982 Cimarron Carburetor Specifications - Update Bulletin #I-82-72, G 6C
Bulletin #I-82-72 updates the specifications listed in Bulletin #I-82-26 for correcting conditions of high or erratic idle speeds. The procedures for adjusting the ISC, TPS, and carburetor are described in the above bulletins.
C. Cimarron Air Valve Spring Adjustment Bulletin #1-82-6, Group 6C
The air valve spring adjustment which was omitted in the 1982 Service Manual is detailed in a five-step procedure.
D. Group 6C - Engine Fuel Systems - Miscellaneous Items Bulletin #I-82-103
Item 1 of Bulletin #I-82-103 describes the correction procedure for poor cold driveability due to the control damper assembly remaining open in the air cleaner on 1982 Cimarrons.
Item 3 of Bulletin #I-82-103 updates the fast idle screw adjustment procedure described on page 6C1-6 of the 1982 Cimarron Service Manual.
E. Cimarron Driveability Bulletin #T-81-75, 6C
Driveability characteristics of early 1982 Cimarrons (prior to B.C. No. 407065 only) such as tip-in hesitation, idle shake, level road surge, weak driveability after cold start and, under certain conditions, engine stalling (on manual transaxle vehicles with the clutch engaged during coast down) can be improved through a new PROM, EGR valve and, in some cases, TVS and AIR management valves, as outlined in Bulletin T-81-75.
