- Install the bottom turbine shaft seal (535) onto the turbine shaft.
- Place the 96042102 over the seal. Leave the 96042102 in place for at least one minute in order to allow the oil seal to return to the proper size.
- Install the turbine shaft oil seals (508) into the top and middle seal ring grooves on the turbine shaft (506). Retain with J 36850 or equivalent.
- Install the overrun clutch housing (510) onto the turbine shaft (506).
- Install the overdrive sun gear (519). The bevel edges of the internal splines and external teeth face downward.
- Install the overdrive carrier assembly (525). Turn the assembly in a counter-clockwise direction only until the roller clutch enters the outer race. After assembly, rotate the assembly and listen for loose rollers.
- Install the overdrive carrier retainer ring (526).
Important: The lube groove will be at the bottom of the overdrive sun gear (519) when installed properly.
