  1. Remove the manual shaft nut (57).

    2. Object Number: 174804 Size: SH
  2. Insert a wire in the center of the pin to prevent collapsing the pin during removal.
  3. Remove the manual shaft spring pin (59) using diagonal pliers.

    4. Object Number: 174806 Size: SH
  4. Inspect the manual shaft for burrs before removing the shaft to prevent damage to the transmission case.
  5. Remove the manual shaft (61).
  6. Remove the manual shaft seal (62).

    7. Object Number: 174808 Size: SH
  7. Remove the detent lever (60) and parking lock actuator rod assembly (56).
