  1. Remove the oil pump drive gear (201) and driven gear (202). Mark the location of the oil pump drive and driven gears to assure proper assembly.

  2. Object Number: 175047  Size: SH
  3. Remove the oil pump to adapter case gasket (11).

  4. Object Number: 175058  Size: SH

    Caution: Valve Springs can be tightly compressed. Use care when removing retainers and plugs. Personal injury could result.

    Important: Do not remove the converter clutch control valve, the pressure regulator valve or the reverse boost valve unless determined by fluid pressure checks to be malfunctioning.

  5. Remove the converter clutch control valve bore plug retainer pin (213).
  6. Remove the clutch control valve bore plug (212).
  7. Remove the clutch control valve spring (211).
  8. Remove the clutch control valve (210).
  9. Inspect the converter clutch control valve for:
  10. • nicks
    • scoring
    • damage

  11. Remove the oil pump boost valve sleeve retainer pin (203). Apply thumb pressure on the oil pump boost valve sleeve (204) to relieve the spring tension from the retainer pin (203).
  12. Remove the oil pump boost valve sleeve (204).
  13. Remove the oil pump boost valve (205).
  14. Remove the pressure regulator valve spring (207) and spring seats (206).
  15. Remove the pressure regulator valve (208).
  16. Inspect the oil pump boost valve and the pressure regulator valve for:
  17. • nicks
    • scoring
    • damage

  18. Remove the throttle signal accumulator piston retainer ring (217).
  19. Remove the throttle signal accumulator piston spring seat (216).
  20. Remove the throttle signal accumulator piston spring (215).
  21. Remove the throttle signal accumulator piston (214).
  22. Inspect the throttle signal accumulator piston for:
  23. • nicks
    • scoring
    • damage
