Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the front seat. Refer to Seat Replacement .
  2. Remove the back cushion foam. Refer to Front Seat Back Cushion Pad Replacement .

  3. Object Number: 246301  Size: SH
  4. Disconnect the electrical connectors from the back power recliner actuator motor.

  5. Object Number: 246304  Size: SH
  6. Remove one retaining clip and the recliner actuator shaft from the seat back.

  7. Object Number: 246305  Size: SH
  8. Remove the power recliner actuator motor screw.
  9. Remove the power recliner actuator motor from the seat back.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 246305  Size: SH
  1. Install the power recliner actuator motor to the seat back.
  2. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Install the power recliner actuator motor screw.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the screw to 4 N·m (35 lb in).

  5. Install the recliner actuator shaft to the front seat back. Secure one retaining clip.

  6. Object Number: 246301  Size: SH
  7. Connect the electrical connectors to the power recliner actuator motor.
  8. Install the cushion pad. Refer to Front Seat Back Cushion Pad Replacement .
  9. Install the front seat. Refer to Seat Replacement .
