The fuel filler system is contains the following components:
| • | Fuel door release relay |
| • | Fuel tank filler door lock actuator |
| • | Fuel tank filler door lock release switch |
| • | Body control module (BCM) |
The fuel filler door is released by operating the fuel tank filler door
lock release switch. The vehicle must be in the PARK position for the fuel
filler door to operate. When the fuel tank filler door lock release switch
is operated, ground is applied the coil side of the fuel door release relay.
When the relay is grounded the switch contacts close and provide battery
voltage to the fuel tank filler door lock actuator and the fuel filler door
opens.
