Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the rear seat center retractor side belt. Refer to Seat Belt Retractor Replacement - Center Rear in Seat Belts.
  2. Remove the rear seat cushion. Refer to Rear Seat Cushion Replacement in Seats.
  3. Fold down the rear seatback cushions.
  4. Remove the outer seatback cushions. Refer to Seat Back Cushion Replacement - Rear Outer in Seats.
  5. Remove the rear headrests. Refer to Rear Seat Head Restraint Replacement in Seats.
  6. Remove the rear headrest retainers. Refer to Rear Seat Head Restraint Retainer Replacement in Seats.
  7. Remove the rear seat outer retractor side belts. Refer to Rear Seat Belt Retractor Replacement in Seat Belts.

  8. Object Number: 163287  Size: SH
  9. Unsnap the rear speaker grilles (5) from the rear seat to back window panel (1) if equipped.
  10. Remove the rear seat to back window panel air vent (2).
  11. Remove seatback armrest latch pin (4).
  12. Remove seatback anchor covers (3).

  14. Remove 3 push retainers securing the front edge of rear seat to back window panel.

  15. Object Number: 246032  Size: SH
  16. Disconnect the sunshade electrical connector.
  17. Remove 3 nuts from inside the rear compartment area retaining the window panel.
  18. Remove the rear seat to back window panel, with the aid of another technician.

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the rear seat to back window panel, with the aid of another technician.
  2. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Install 3 nut to inside rear compartment area to secure window panel.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the nuts to 1 N·m (9 lb in).

  5. Connect the sunshade electrical connector.

  7. Install 3 push retainers at front edge of rear seat to back window panel.

  8. Object Number: 163287  Size: SH
  9. Install seatback anchor covers (3).
  10. Install seatback armrest latch pin (4).
  11. Install the rear seat to back window panel air vent (2).
  12. Install the rear speaker grilles (5) to the rear seat to back window panel (1) if equipped.
  13. Install the rear seat outer retractor side belts. Refer to Rear Seat Belt Retractor Replacement in Seat Belts.
  14. Install the rear headrest retainers. Refer to Rear Seat Head Restraint Retainer Replacement in Seats.
  15. Install the rear headrests. Refer to Rear Seat Head Restraint Replacement in Seats.
  16. Install the outer seatback cushions. Refer to Seat Back Cushion Replacement - Rear Outer in Seats.
  17. Move the rear seatback cushions to there original positions.
  18. Install the rear seat cushion. Refer to Rear Seat Cushion Replacement in Seats.
  19. Install the rear seat center retractor side belt. Refer to Seat Belt Retractor Replacement - Center Rear in Seat Belts.
