Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 724113 Size: SH
  1. Open the rear compartment.
  2. Remove the compartment lid applique access covers.
  3. Remove the rear compartment lid trim panel. Refer to Rear Compartment Lid Inner Panel Trim Replacement in Body Rear End.
  4. Disconnect the bulb socket from the compartment lid applique .
  5. Remove the nuts from the compartment lid applique.
  6. Remove the compartment lid applique from the rear compartment lid.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 724113 Size: SH
  1. Install the compartment lid applique to the rear compartment lid.

    2. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  2. Install nuts to the compartment lid applique .

    3. Tighten
    Tighten nuts to the compartment lid applique to 10 N·m (89 lb  in).

  3. Connect the bulb socket to the compartment lid applique .
  4. Install the rear compartment trim panel. Refer to Rear Compartment Lid Inner Panel Trim Replacement in Body Rear End.
  5. Install the backup lamp access covers.
  6. Close the rear compartment.
