- Install the cluster into
the mounting position by inserting the left side of the cluster into the left
vent housing.
- Install the wiring harness connector to the left side of the cluster.
- Install the wiring harness connector (1) to the cluster (2).
- Install the seat cluster in the carrier.
Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners
must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring
replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant
are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or
corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified.
These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage
the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when
installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
- Install the screw
to the right side of the instrument cluster.
Tighten
Tighten the screw to 2 N·m (18 lb in).
- Install the collar to the upper column.
- Install the collar screw to the collar.
Tighten
Tighten the screw to 2 N·m (18 lb in).
- Install the upper column
cover to the steering column.
- Rotate the steering wheel to expose the right side of the upper
steering column cover.
- Install the right screw to the column cover.
Tighten
Tighten the screw to 2 N·m (18 lb in).
- Install the right screw cover to the upper steering column cover.
- Rotate the steering wheel to expose the left cover screw location.
- Install the left screw to the column cover.
Tighten
Tighten the screw to 2 N·m (18 lb in).
- Install the left screw plug steering column cover.
- Install the center air
deflector housing.
- Install the screws to the center air deflector housing.
- Install the center air
deflectors.
- Reprogram the instrument cluster. Refer to
Instrument Cluster Programming/Synchronization
.
- Verify the cluster operation.
